The median primary school has 1.1 people in admissions and marketing.

The person who gives the tour is the same one who answers the phone, organizes the school festival and helps collect tuition. The most important message of the year lands on the most neglected desk.

Admissions teams: 1.1 people at the median school, 6 at the median university

People in admissions and marketing, median for the October 2026 edition: 1.1 in primary schools, 3 high schools and 6 in universities. Only 39% of primary schools have an admissions director; 24% of institutions hire an outside agency.

With 1.1 people who also do other things, replying within five minutes at nine on a Sunday night is impossible. It is not a lack of effort: scattered efforts do not add up, and systems do. A system replies, books and follows up even when the only person is at the festival.

Who answers your school’s WhatsApp inquiry line? And what else does that person do?

Where it comes from

Sum of admissions director, marketing, community manager and advisors (fractions = part-time). Sample: 102 Enrollment X-Rays completed between March and October 2026 with owners and directors of 102 private institutions in 69 Mexican cities. These are institutions that requested the diagnostic, not the country. Median, not average: one school with 7,000 students skews the average and makes it lie. n = 35 / 14 / 40 / 98 (primary schools, high schools, universities, all).

Median before average; no figure based on fewer than 5 institutions is published. Full methodology.
