40% of families who come for a campus visit enroll: the problem is before the visit

Median close rate at the visit, October 2026 edition: primary schools 40%, high schools 35%, universities 50%. Once the family walks through the gate, 4 in 10 sign.

Compare it with overall conversion of 2.4%. The family does not come to explore, it comes to confirm; the institution has already won the visit. What gets lost is the stretch before it: the unanswered WhatsApp, the visit nobody offered, the follow-up that never happened. That is where the funnel is, and nobody is watching it.

How many of your campus visits last month ended in an enrollment? And how many leads never made it to a visit?

Source and method

Where it comes from

Close rate at the visit = enrolled ÷ families who attended a campus visit, as reported by the director. Sample: 102 Enrollment X-Rays completed between March and October 2026 with owners and directors of 102 private institutions in 69 Mexican cities. These are institutions that requested the diagnostic, not the country. Median, not average: one school with 7,000 students skews the average and makes it lie. n = 33 / 13 / 35 / 86 (primary schools, high schools, universities, all).

Median before average; no figure based on fewer than 5 institutions is published. Full methodology.
