What private schools in Mexico charge: median tuition of $3,300MXN a month (97 Enrollment X-Rays)

Median monthly tuition, October 2026 edition: primary schools $3,825MXN, high schools $4,000MXN, universities $2,994MXN. All: $3,300MXN. Half charge between $2,150MXN and $5,000MXN; the median enrollment fee is $3,750MXN.

Under the rule of thumb that healthy tuition runs about 10% of household income per child, that range is within reach of the 13.4 million households in the A/B, C+ and C socioeconomic levels. Price is not the ceiling of the market. It is the most comfortable excuse for not looking at the process.

Is your tuition above or below the median for your level? And does your admissions process live up to what you charge?

Where it comes from

Average monthly tuition as reported; institutions charging in pesos only. Sample: 102 Enrollment X-Rays completed between March and October 2026 with owners and directors of 102 private institutions in 69 Mexican cities. These are institutions that requested the diagnostic, not the country. Median, not average: one school with 7,000 students skews the average and makes it lie. n = 34 / 13 / 41 / 97 (primary schools, high schools, universities, all).

Median before average; no figure based on fewer than 5 institutions is published. Full methodology.
